Ending 2013 with Cancer

Reflecting Back

When I look at the number 2013, I see the word cancer and a whole lot of bad luck. I learned that sitting in a chair hooked to IV's, taking in poison for six hours straight, can save my life. I heard terminology that no one ever wants to know and have experienced medical practices that only a cancer patient can comprehend. I realized that hair is just hair, and life is worth fighting through all of the side effects. I am grateful for the 20th century and for having the newest medical inventions that hopefully will save my life. The world keeps spinning as we keep fighting. I'm grateful to bring in this new year, 2014.
