Dangerous PFAS Chemicals in Florida Water: A Video Project

In the autumn of 2020, a group of dedicated students from the University of Florida embarked on an ambitious project titled Forever in Florida, focusing on the pressing issue of environmental health. Their investigation centered around the elusive and dangerous chemicals known as PFAS, which have been infiltrating Florida's ecosystems and posing significant risks to human health. I was privileged to share my family's story during this project, recounting our painful journey through harmful exposure to these substances, which ultimately resulted in cancer diagnoses. This experience highlighted the urgent need for awareness and fueled our advocacy for better environmental health practices.
