An Engagement Photoshoot in the Merritt Island Wildlife Refuge
We took a trip to a beautiful sprawling area in Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge off of Biolab Road to a place called Sendler Education Outpost. The 6-mile road to get there runs along the Mosquito Lagoon. This is a great area to see wildlife and take nature images. Matt and Shannon met me here near picnic tables, and we began our session in the exploration areas and moved to the shoreline access. I was honored to be asked to photograph their engagement announcement. I have always intertwined nature and human subjects in my photography work. Beyond the creative outlet, I learned how vital my photographs are in capturing these moments and giving families these memories throughout the years. Life is precious, and I'm blessed to be a part of this moment.
